GTA 6 is set in Leonida, a made-up US state, with Vice City as its big city. Confirmed [1] [2] Rockstar sorts its official screenshots into six regions, listed below. [5] [17]
Leonida is widely seen as Rockstar's take on Florida, but that's our reading, not an official statement.
The six regions
Vice City Confirmed
The neon city of beaches, pastel art-deco hotels and nightlife. Known areas include Ocean Beach, Little Cuba and the VC Port cruise terminal. [17] [5]
Leonida Keys Confirmed
A chain of tropical islands with boat parties, dive bars such as The Rusty Anchor and reefs you can dive. [17] [5]
Grassrivers Confirmed
Leonida's wetlands: airboats, alligators, houses on stilts and worse things under the water. [17] [5]
Port Gellhorn Confirmed
A run-down former holiday town of cheap motels and empty malls, now with a thriving drugs trade. [17] [5]
Ambrosia Confirmed
Leonida's industrial heart, built around the Allied Crystal sugar refinery and run in practice by a local biker gang. [17] [5]
Mount Kalaga National Park Confirmed
Wild country on the northern border: hunting, fishing, off-road trails and canyon roads. [17] [5]
What isn't confirmed
Not confirmed The size of the map, whether every region is open from the start, and exact locations of shops, safehouses or collectibles. Leaked or fan-made maps aren't official, so we don't use them.
