Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Last checked: · Facts marked Confirmed come from the sources listed at the bottom.
Short answer: not at launch. GTA 6 is only confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and there's no PC release date. Confirmed [1] [20]
What's official
- The only announced platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Confirmed [1]
- In September 2026, Take-Two's boss said the company generally launches on any platform with a "meaningful audience" and that PC is becoming more and more important to it. That is not a GTA 6 PC announcement. [22]
- Xbox has said GTA 6 won't be streamable to PC through Xbox Cloud Gaming. [20]
What's only a report
Report / rumour News site GamesBeat, quoting unnamed industry sources, reported that a PC version could arrive in the first three months of 2027. Rockstar hasn't confirmed this. [20] [21]
For context, GTA 5 reached PC about 18 months after its first console release, and Red Dead Redemption 2 about 11 months after. [20]
What PC players can do now
- Wait for an official announcement on Rockstar's site.
- Don't pay for "PC downloads" or "early access" for GTA 6: there is no official PC version, so these are scams.
